ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದ ರಾಜ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸಸ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ಸಮೃದ್ಧ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಇದು 43,356.95 ಚದರ ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟದ ಪರ್ವತಗಳು ಜೀವವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯ ತಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾಡು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು, ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಸ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶದ ಪರಿಸರ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಖಾತರಿಪಡಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ 1972 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತಂದಿತು.

ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ಭಾರತದ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸವು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಲಾಭದಾಯಕ ಅನುಭವವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ 20% ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಡುಗಳ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಜೀವವೈವಿಧ್ಯ ತಾಣವಾದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು 20 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಅಭಯಾರಣ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಪ್ರಿಯರು, ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಾಹಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸಾಹಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಆನೆ, ಹುಲಿ, ಚಿರತೆ, ಬಾನೆಟ್ ಮಕಾಕ್, ತೆಳ್ಳಗಿನ ಲೋರಿಸ್, ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಪಾಮ್ ಸಿವೆಟ್, ಸಣ್ಣ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಿವೆಟ್, ಸೋಮಾರಿತನ ಕರಡಿ, ಗೌರ್, ಸಾಂಬಾರ್ ಜಿಂಕೆ, ಮುಂತಾದ ಕಾಡು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಚಿಟಲ್, ಮಂಟ್ಜಾಕ್, ಧೋಲ್, ಸ್ಟ್ರಿಪ್ಡ್ ಹಯೆನಾ ಮತ್ತು ಗೋಲ್ಡನ್ ನರಿ. ಬಂಡೀಪುರ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಗರಹೊಳ ಉದ್ಯಾನಗಳು ವಾಸ್ತವವಾಗಿ ಭಾರತದ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ಜೀವಗೋಳ ಮೀಸಲು ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ನೀಲಗಿರಿ ಬಯೋಸ್ಫಿಯರ್ ರಿಸರ್ವ್ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟದ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಹಚ್ಚ ಹಸಿರಾಗಿರಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಅವುಗಳ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಬಯಲು ಸೀಮೆಯ ಕಾಡುಗಳಾಗಿರಲಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಅಭಯಾರಣ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾದ ಕೆಲವು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಂದ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ, ಇದು ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಾದ್ಯಂತದ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳು

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ವಿವಿಧ ಜಾತಿಯ ಸಸ್ತನಿಗಳು, ಸರೀಸೃಪಗಳು, ಉಭಯಚರಗಳು, ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು, ಮೀನುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕೀಟಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದೆ. ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಭಾರತದ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿನ ಕಾಡು ಆನೆಯ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ 25% ಮತ್ತು ಹುಲಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ 10%  ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತವೆ. ಪಕ್ಷಿ ಪ್ರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪಕ್ಷಿ ವೀಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಸ್ವರ್ಗವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಹಲವಾರು ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ  ಪಕ್ಷಿಧಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಜಾತಿಯ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಬಹುದು. ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಅದ್ಭುತ ವಲಸೆ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಣಿಕ್ಯ ಗಂಟಲಿನ ಬಲ್ಬುಲ್, ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಶಾಮಾ, ಮಲಬಾರ್ ವಿಸ್ಲಿಂಗ್ ಥ್ರಷ್, ಕಿತ್ತಳೆ ತಲೆಯ ಟ್ರಶ್, ಪ್ಯಾರಡೈಸ್ ಫ್ಲೈ ಕ್ಯಾಚರ್, ಗ್ರೇಟ್ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಹಾರ್ನ್‌ಬಿಲ್, ಕಾರ್ಮರಂಟ್, ಡಾರ್ಟರ್, ವೈಟ್ ಐಬಿಸ್, ಗ್ರೇಟ್ ಸ್ಟೋನ್ ಪ್ಲೋವರ್, ಕ್ಲಿಫ್ ಸ್ವಾಲೋ, ಸ್ಪೂನ್‌ಬಿಲ್,  ಓಪನ್ ಬಿಲ್ಡ್ ಕೊಕ್ಕರೆ, ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ಲೋವರ್, ಪೈಡ್ ಕಿಂಗ್‌ಫಿಶರ್, ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕಿಂಗ್‌ಫಿಶರ್, ರಾಕೆಟ್-ಟೈಲ್ಡ್ ಡ್ರೊಂಗೊ ಮತ್ತು ನೀಲಿ ಗಂಟಲಿನ ಬಾರ್ಬೆಟ್ ಇವು ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. 

ಮೀನುಗಳು: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಮೂಲಕ ಹರಿಯುವ ಹಲವಾರು ತೊರೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನದಿಗಳು ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾದ ವಿವಿಧ ಮೀನುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿವೆ. ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟದ ವಿವಿಧ ಜಲಮೂಲಗಳು ವಿಲಕ್ಷಣ ಜಾತಿಯ ಸಿಹಿನೀರಿನ ಮೀನುಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿವೆ.  ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಉದ್ದದ ಕರಾವಳಿಯು ಕಡಲ ಮೀನುಗಳಾದ ಬೂತಾಯಿ, ರೇ ಫಿಶ್, ಬಂಗುಡೆ, ಟ್ಯೂನ, ಶಾರ್ಕ್, ಪೋನಿಫಿಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ಹಲವಾರು ಇತರ ಜಾತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮೀನುಗಳಿವೆ.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳು

ಉಭಯಚರಗಳು: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ಉಭಯಚರ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯಿಂದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ. ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟಗಳು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಜಾತಿಯ ಉಭಯಚರಗಳಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಳಿವಿನಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೇರಳೆ ಕಪ್ಪೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಲಬಾರ್ ಹಾರುವ ಕಪ್ಪೆ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟದ ಕಾಡುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತವೆ. ಮಲಬಾರ್ ಗ್ಲೈಡಿಂಗ್ ಕಪ್ಪೆ, ಚಿನ್ನದ ಕಪ್ಪೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಬುಲ್ ಕಪ್ಪೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಉಭಯಚರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿವೆ.

ಕೀಟಗಳು: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ಕೀಟಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ತಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಚಿಟ್ಟೆಗಳ ಸಮೃದ್ಧ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅನೇಕ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಕೀಟಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕಾಡುಗಳು ಜಲಚರ ಕೀಟಗಳು, ಹಗಲು ಹಾರುವ ಕೀಟಗಳು, ರಾತ್ರಿ ಹಾರುವ ಕೀಟಗಳು ಮುಂತಾದ ವಿವಿಧ ಜಾತಿಯ ಕೀಟಗಳ ಆವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಾಗಿವೆ.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳು

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ಸರೀಸೃಪಗಳ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದ ದಟ್ಟ ಕಾಡುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುವ ಸರೀಸೃಪಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಪೈಥಾನ್, ಕಿಂಗ್ ಕೋಬ್ರಾ, ಟ್ರಿಂಕೆಟ್ ಹಾವು, ಭಾರತೀಯ ನಾಗರಹಾವು, ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕ್ರೈಟ್, ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಕಂಚು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಇಲಿ ಹಾವು ಮುಂತಾದ ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿ ಹಾವುಗಳು ಸೇರಿವೆ. ಮೊಸಳೆ ಪ್ರಭೇದಗಳು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಗದ್ದೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಕರಾವಳಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕಡಲತೀರಗಳು ಅಪರೂಪದ  ಆಮೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಲಿವ್ ರಿಡ್ಲಿ ಆಮೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೂಡುಕಟ್ಟುವ ಮೈದಾನವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.

ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳಿವಿನ ಅಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ 40 ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಸರಿಸಿದೆ.

ಸಸ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ದುರ್ಬಲತೆಗೆ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಲಾದ ಕಾರಣವೆಂದರೆ ಅರಣ್ಯನಾಶ, ಅತಿಯಾದ ಶೋಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಸ್ಯಗಳ ಕಳ್ಳಸಾಗಣೆ.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನ: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನಗಳು ಭಾರತದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನಗಳಾಗಿವೆ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನಗಳು ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಭೂದೃಶ್ಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಜಾತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ. ಭಾರತದ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಂತಹ ಸಂಘಟಿತ ಸಸ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಿಲ್ಲ. ಅನ್ಶಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನವು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಪರಿಶೋಧಿಸಲಾದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಸುಮಾರು 200 ಪಕ್ಷಿ ಪ್ರಭೇದಗಳಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಬಂಡೀಪುರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಗರಹೊಳೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನವು ಮೀಸಲು ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಭಾಗಗಳಾಗಿವೆ.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳು

ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪಕ್ಷಿಧಾಮಗಳು: ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮೂರು ಪಕ್ಷಿಧಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಭಾರತದ ಅಂತಿಮ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ತಾಣವೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸೆಳೆಯುವುದು ಸಾಹಸ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀಪ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ವೈಲ್ಡ್ಲೈಫ್ ಸಫಾರಿಗಳು, ಪಕ್ಷಿ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಮೊಸಳೆ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆ ಪ್ರವಾಸಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಚಾರಣ.

ಪಕ್ಷಿ ಪ್ರಿಯರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾ, ಸೈಬೀರಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತರ ಅಮೆರಿಕಾದಿಂದ ವಲಸೆ ಬರುವ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುವ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ-ಅಟ್ಟಿವೇರಿ ಪಕ್ಷಿಧಾಮ, ಗುಡವಿ ಪಕ್ಷಿಧಾಮ ಮತ್ತು ರಂಗನಾತಿಟ್ಟು ಪಕ್ಷಿಧಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ಪಕ್ಷಿಧಾಮಗಳಿವೆ.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳು

ಹುಲಿ ಮೀಸಲು ತಾಣ: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಹುಲಿ ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪಗಳು ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ತಾಣಗಳಾಗಿವೆ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇದು ಭಾರತದ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹುಲಿ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರು ಹುಲಿ ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪಗಳಿವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಮೀಸಲುಗಳು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಅದರ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನಗಳು ಅನೇಕ ಪರಿಸರವಾದಿ ಮತ್ತು ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಿಗಳ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದಿವೆ. ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಹುಲಿ ತಾಣ ಬಂಡೀಪುರ. ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡುವ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಬಂಧಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಅರಣ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಗಾಗಿ, ಆಂಡ್ರಾಯ್ಡ್ ಅಪ್ಲಿಕೇಶನ್ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡವರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ.
