ವಿಜಯನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮರಿಯಮ್ಮನ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅಧಿಕಾರವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ‌ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಕರೊನಾ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡದೇ ಓಡಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಹಾವೇರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮೂಗಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾನಪದ ತರಬೇತಿ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೆ. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನ ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಗೌರವ ಸಂಭಾವನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಸಾಧಕರ ಆತ್ಮಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ 2.5 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಸಮಿತಿಗಳನ್ನ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ’’ ಎಂದರು. ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಅಧಿಕಾರವಧಿ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಮುಂದೆ ಬರುವವರು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿದೆ’’ ಎಂದರು.
