ಭಾರತದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ 11 ° 30 ‘ಉತ್ತರ ಮತ್ತು 18 ° 30’ ಉತ್ತರ ಅಕ್ಷಾಂಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು 74 ° ಪೂರ್ವ ಮತ್ತು 78 ° 30 ‘ಪೂರ್ವ ರೇಖಾಂಶದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಇದು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂರ್ವ ಘಾಟ್ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಗಳು ಭಾರತದ ಡೆಕ್ಕನ್ ಪೆನಿನ್ಸುಲರ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಲಗಿರಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರುವ ಟೇಬಲ್ ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ನಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಉತ್ತರ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಯುವ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಗೋವಾ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತುವರೆದಿದೆ. ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರೇಬಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದ್ರ, ದಕ್ಷಿಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇರಳ ಮತ್ತು ತಮಿಳುನಾಡು ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿವೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯವು 191,976 ಚದರ ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್ (74,122 ಚದರ ಮೈಲಿ) ಅಥವಾ ಭಾರತದ ಒಟ್ಟು ಭೌಗೋಳಿಕ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ 5.83% ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಭೌಗೋಳಿಕವಾಗಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು 3 ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಕರಾವಳಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶ, ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಾಡು ಮಾಲೆನಾಡು ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಮತ್ತು ಡೆಕ್ಕನ್ ಪ್ರಸ್ಥಭೂಮಿಯ ಬಯಲು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಬಯಲುಸೀಮ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶ.
ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ಭಾರತದ ಆರನೇ ದೊಡ್ಡ ರಾಜ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಇದು ಐಟಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರನ್ನು ಭಾರತದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಮಯದ ಹಿಂದೆ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ “ಗಾರ್ಡನ್ ಸಿಟಿ” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಈಗ ‘ಐಟಿ ಸಿಟಿ’ ಎಂದು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ತನ್ನ ಮೂರು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು 31 ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು 4 ಆಡಳಿತ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ:
- ಕರಾವಳಿ ಬಯಲು ಪ್ರದೇಶ (ಕರವಾಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ)
- ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟದ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಾಡು ಪ್ರದೇಶ (ಮಲೆನಾಡು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ)
- ಡೆಕ್ಕನ್ ಪ್ರಸ್ಥಭೂಮಿಯ ಎತ್ತರದ ಪ್ರದೇಶ (ಇದನ್ನು ಬಯಲುಸೀಮೆ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ)
ವಿಜಯನಗರವನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ 31 ನೇ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಸಲು, ನವೆಂಬರ್ 18, 2020 ರಂದು ದೀರ್ಘಾವಧಿಯ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕ್ಯಾಬಿನೆಟ್ ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿತು.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಆಡಳಿತ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳು: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಆಡಳಿತ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳು:
- ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಭಾಗ

- ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಭಾಗ
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯೋಣ:
1. ಬಾಗಲಕೋಟೆ: ಹನಗುಂದ್ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಒಣ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಲ್ಲದಿಂದ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದ ಸಿಹಿ ತಿಂಡಿ ಕರಡಂಟುಗೆ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ. ಗುಳೇದಗುಡ್ಡ ಖಾನಾ ಒಂದು ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಜವಳಿ, ಮತ್ತು ಇದು 4000 ವರ್ಷಗಳಷ್ಟು ಹಳೆಯದಾದ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಗುಳೇದಗುಡ್ಡ ಎಂಬ ಸಣ್ಣ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಮಗ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಕಲ್ ಸೀರೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಸೀರೆಯ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ರೂಪವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಕಲ್ ಸೀರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಮಗ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ನೇಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
2. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ: ಜಿಐ ಸೂಚಕವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ರೋಸ್ ಈರುಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ 16 ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಆಗ್ನೇಯ ಏಷ್ಯಾದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಹಲವಾರು ದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ರಫ್ತು ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
3.ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ: ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ. ಇದರ ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣ ಚದರ ಕಿಮೀ: 2,190 ಮತ್ತು ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ: 6,537,124 .ಮೈಸೂರು ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ಸೋಪ್ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಉತ್ಪನ್ನವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
4. ಬೆಳಗಾಂ: ಬೆಳಗಾಂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ವಾಯುವ್ಯ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಇದು ನಾಮಸೂಚಕ ಬೆಳಗಾಂ ವಿಭಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಳಗಾಂ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಬೆಳಗಾಂ ಅನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಎರಡನೇ ರಾಜಧಾನಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಎರಡನೇ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ಭವನ ಸುವರ್ಣ ವಿಧಾನ ಸೌಧವನ್ನು 11 ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 2012 ರಂದು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
5. ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ: ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ ನಗರ, ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಎರಡು ಬೃಹತ್ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಗ್ರಾನೈಟ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಾದ ಬಲ್ಲಾರಿ ಗುಡ್ಡ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಂಬಾರ ಗುಡ್ಡಾಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಡಿದೆ.
6. ಬೀದರ್: ಬೀದರ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಈಶಾನ್ಯ ಮೂಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. 14 ನೇ ಶತಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಮನಿ ಸುಲ್ತಾನರು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿದ ಲೋಹದ ಕರಕುಶಲ ವಸ್ತುವನ್ನು ಬೀದರ್ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದಿಗೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರ್ಷಿಯಾದಿಂದ ಕಲಿತರು.
7. ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ: ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯನ್ನು ಮೈಸೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಿಂದ ವಿಭಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಗಂಧದ ಕೆತ್ತನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಸಬಹುದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಶ್ರೀಗಂಧವನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಈ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
8. ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ: ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ 2007 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ರಚಿಸಲಾದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ. ನಂದಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಬಹಳ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿತಾಣ. ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ಹಲವಾರು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿತೋಟಗಳಿವೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
9. ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು: ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಕಾಫಿಯನ್ನು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ಅರೇಬಿಯಾದಿಂದ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ 350 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬಾಬಾ ಬುಡಾನ್ ಗಿರಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾಫಿ ಈ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಬೆಳೆ.
10. ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ: ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯು ಮೊಲಕಲ್ಮುರು ಸೀರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಮೊಲಕಲ್ಮುರು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನೇಯ್ಗೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕಾಂಚಿಪುರಂ ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
11. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ: ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡವು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕರಾವಳಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದನ್ನು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕೆನರಾ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಇಂದಿಗೂ, ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬಂದರು ಈ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದಿದೆ. ಮಂಗಳೂರನ್ನು ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
12. ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ: ಬೆಣ್ಣೆ ದೋಸೆ ಜೊತೆ ಆಲೂಗಡ್ಡೆ ಪಲ್ಯ, ಮಿರ್ಚಿ ಮಂಡಕ್ಕಿ ಮತ್ತು ಜವಳಿ ಉದ್ಯಮದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
13. ಧಾರವಾಡ: ಧಾರವಾಡ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ಧಾರವಾಡಕ್ಕೆ 900 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿದೆ. ಧಾರವಾಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯು ಖಾದಿ ಉಡುಪುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಬೆಂಗೇರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಖಾದಿ ಘಟಕವು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸುವ ಒಂದು ವಿಭಾಗವಾಗಿದೆ.
14. ಗದಗ: ಗದಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯನ್ನು 1997 ರಲ್ಲಿ ರಚಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಗದಗ ಮುದ್ರಣಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕೈಮಗ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.
15. ಹಾಸನ: ಬೇಲೂರು ಚನ್ನಕೇಶವ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರವಣಬೆಳಗೊಳ ಮೂರ್ತಿ ವಾಸ್ತುಶಿಲ್ಪಕ್ಕೆ ಕನ್ನಡಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಸನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯು ಹಿತಕರವಾದ ಹವಾಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಕಲೇಶಪುರ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಹಾಸನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ ,ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಮಲ್ನಾಡ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯ ತಾಣವಾದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟದ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದೆ.
16. ಹಾವೇರಿ: ಬ್ಯಾಡಗಿ ಮೆಣಸಿನಕಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಫ್ತು ಮಾಡುವ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ವಿವಿಧ ಮೆಣಸಿನಕಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಭಾರತದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಫ್ತು ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಬಗೆಯ ಮೆಣಸಿನಕಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದ ವಿವಿಧ ಪಾಕಪದ್ಧತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಬ್ಯಾಡಗಿ ಮೆಣಸಿನಕಾಯಿ ನೇಲ್ ಪಾಲಿಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ಲಿಪ್ಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ತಯಾರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡ ಬಳಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
17. ಕಲುಬುರ್ಗಿ: ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯು ತೊಗರಿ ಬೆಳೆಗೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ತೊಗರಿ ಬೆಳೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುವ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ವಸ್ತು ಶಹಾಬಾದ್ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳು, ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯ ಸುಣ್ಣದ ಕಲ್ಲು. ಈ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಅನೇಕ ಶತಮಾನಗಳಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
18. ಕೊಡಗು: ಕೇರಳ ಮತ್ತು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳು ನೀಡಿದ ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ಅಂಕಿಅಂಶಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಕೊಡಗನ್ನು ಭಾರತದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ತಾಣವೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಡಿಕೇರಿ ಭಾರತದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಗಿರಿಧಾಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮರ್ಕರ ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ಇದು ಕೊಡಗು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಚೇರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. (ಇದನ್ನು ಕೂರ್ಗ್ ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ). ಇದು ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ತಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
